What’s next?
Twelve years in the same job is unheard of these days, right? Twelve years in your dream job? Whoa.
How do you even follow that up? What would YOU do?
No job. No kids. No partner. No mortgage. No ties.
Any ideas?
I’ve been thinking about it…
For my entire career I’ve always been the ‘yes’ girl. Yes, I’ll fill in for other programs when I’m needed. Yes, I’ll do eight hours of live radio in one day. Yes, I’ll go to at least three gigs every week because I don’t want to miss out on anything. I’m all for living life to the fullest. I’m all about burning the candle at both ends if it means not missing a moment of the fire.
I love it. I love grabbing life by the horns and swinging it around a few times just for fun. I love spending it with my closest friends, throwing epic parties, immersing myself in as much live music as possible, squeezing in some time on the yoga mat, being on radio sharing music with you every second I can, DJing at festivals while dancing with you, MCing heaps, and saying yes to EVERYTHING.
So, what can I say yes to next? What would make my heart soar, expand my life with adventure, and how can I share it with my tribe? Because I definitely want you to be part of it.
You know there’s only one answer. I reckon it’s the same thing that you’d do.
One word: Travel.
In all my years of saying yes, I rarely said no to work long enough to travel. Sure, I went to New Zealand for ten days, New Orleans for two weeks, and Bali, Fiji and Vanuatu a few times. But I mean REALLY travel. Pack a backpack, leave the country, and work it out as we go.
So… shall we?
It’s time to step away from the everyday, to embrace the world and all the experiences it has to offer. And I want you to be part of it. Because, for me, connection is key. You’ve been there from the start, supporting me, welcoming me into your world, and sharing music along the way. Let’s keep it going.
Let’s travel around the world – to festivals, to yoga events, to towns we can’t pronounce, and let’s see what happens. I’m ready for an adventure, for discovering music and arts and yoga and mountains and love and laughter, and maybe, just maybe, the next dream.
Music is key. After all, it’s the fuel in the fire that has propelled me this far in life, and I still love it passionately. But what else? What will we find as we expand, welcoming in new experiences and getting to know each other, and ourselves, as we go?
I’d love to hear your travel tips. What do I pack? Which festivals should I go to? Where have you always wanted to travel to? Where would you love to go back to?
Pack your bags - we leave soon.
And anything is possible. We’ll be exploring through the USA, Canada, and Europe… just to start.
We’ll journey here, of course, but also check these out if you haven’t already:
